B.Tech - Electronics & Communication Engineering

Department of Electronics & Communication has started UG Program in the year of1997. The program is approved by AICTE and Government of Gujarat and is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Gujarat, then toGujarat Technological University, Gujarat in the year of 2008 (and now to the C. U. shah University, Wadhwan in the year of2013).

Electronics and Communication Engineering opens up great career prospects for the students. The students after completion of the degree can easily avail job opportunities in manufacturing industries and service organizations such as broadcasting, consulting, data communication, entertainment, research and development; and system support. The candidates can also work in modern multimedia service firms that are involved in real-time transfer of information through video conferencing and internet broadcasting.

The opportunities are galore for electronics and communication engineers as they are employed in variety of sectors such as Indian Telephone Industries, Civil Aviation, Development Centers in various States, Defense, NPL, A.I.R, Posts and Telegraph Department, Railways, Bharat Electronics Limited, D.R.D.O, Telecommunication, Software Engineering / IT, Power sector, Hardware Manufacturing, Home Appliance and VLSI design, Television Industry and Research & development.

Eligibility:Candidate must pass final exam of XII from the Gujarat State Board or an equivalent recognized board, with a minimum of 45% (SC/ST 40%). Candidates must have appeared in JEE Main and scored the qualifying marks. The admissions to the various undergraduate engineering courses are through central counseling (ACPC) on the basis merit in the JEE Main scores and the marks in the class XII in the ration 60:40 from the year of 2013 onwards.As Per norms seats are also available in Management quotas.

Infrastructure: ICT enable class rooms, state of art with latest configuration 10 laboratories in the department. There is 24*7 internet facility available to all the students.

Areas of Research: The students will get an opportunity to participate in projects related to, but not limited to Image processing, VLSI, Wireless communication, Embedded system design, Advance communication algorithms
